Shah Jahan Mosque
Vision 2032

Our heritage. Our community. Our future.

A special place for generations to come

The Shah Jahan Mosque is Britain’s first purpose-built mosque and has been part of Woking’s story for more than 130 years. It is a place of worship, learning and community, but also an important part of Britain’s Muslim heritage.

Our vision is to protect that heritage while making the whole site work better for the future: better spaces for prayer and learning, a Heritage Centre and Café, calmer gardens, safer access and enough parking for the community. The aim is not simply to build more, but to bring the site together so that the historic mosque sits at the heart of a welcoming, connected campus for worshippers, visitors and future generations.
